Seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in site development and heavy civil construction to oversee commercial and infrastructure site preparation projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market. The Project Manager will manage projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of site development and site preparation projects including earthwork, grading, excavation, utilities, paving, and storm drainage.
- Oversee project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, subcontractor coordination, procurement, and cost control activities.
- Coordinate daily operations with superintendents, subcontractors, owners, engineers, and municipal agencies.
- Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, contracts, and project documentation.
- Track project progress and maintain schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, municipal requirements, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
- Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Support estimating and pre-construction efforts including quantity takeoffs, bid reviews, and value engineering.
- Manage underground utility installation activities including water, sewer, storm drain, and detention systems.
- Monitor project financials, productivity, manpower, equipment utilization, and material procurement.
- Assist with permitting, inspections, and coordination with city inspectors and utility providers.
- Lead project closeout activities including punch lists, turnover documentation, and final reporting.
Your Profile
- 5+ years of experience in heavy civil, site development, or site preparation construction.
- Strong background in earthwork, grading, utilities, paving, concrete, and civil infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing commercial, industrial, municipal, or residential development projects.
- Knowledge of Texas construction practices, municipal standards, and DOT specifications preferred.
- Proficient in project management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, HCSS, Bluebeam, or Microsoft Project.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and cost tracking.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and fast-paced field operations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
