We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead heavy civil infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, roadways, paving, and public works construction throughout Texas. The Project Manager will oversee all phases of construction from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing TXDOT or municipal infrastructure projects and possess excellent leadership, financial management, scheduling, and client communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall execution of heavy civil construction projects including highways, bridges, paving, grading, drainage, and utility infrastructure.
  • Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and construction operations from award through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software.
  • Oversee project financials including cost tracking, forecasting, budgeting, billing, and profitability analysis.
  • Manage subcontractor agreements, vendor relationships, and procurement activities.
  • Coordinate with Superintendents, field personnel, engineers, subcontractors, owners, and inspectors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, and project documentation.
  • Lead owner meetings and maintain strong communication with TXDOT representatives, municipalities, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to maintain schedule and budget objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with project safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality control requirements.
  • Support business development efforts including estimating reviews, proposal preparation, and client relationship management.
  • Mentor Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field staff.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in heavy civil or infrastructure construction.
  • Proven experience managing TXDOT, municipal, bridge, roadway, or public infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of civil construction means and methods including earthwork, concrete, asphalt, drainage, structures, and utilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil plans, specifications, and contracts.
  • Experience managing multimillion-dollar construction projects.
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, HCSS, B2W, HeavyBid, or similar construction software.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
