Seeking a Project Engineer with experience in heavy civil and site development construction to support commercial, industrial, and infrastructure site preparation projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The Project Engineer will assist with project coordination, field operations, scheduling, documentation, quantity tracking, and communication between field teams and project management to help ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations on site development and site preparation projects including earthwork, grading, excavation, underground utilities, paving, and storm drainage.
  • Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with scheduling, subcontractor coordination, procurement, and project execution.
  • Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents to support field operations and project compliance.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs, production tracking, and cost reporting to support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, survey crews, inspectors, vendors, and utility providers to maintain project schedules.
  • Support underground utility installation activities including water, sewer, storm drain, and detention systems.
  • Monitor field progress, quality control, and safety compliance throughout all phases of construction.
  • Assist with material procurement, delivery coordination, and equipment tracking.
  • Participate in owner meetings, inspections, and progress updates with municipal agencies and engineering teams.
  • Support project closeout activities including punch lists, as-built drawings, and turnover documentation.

Your Profile

  • 1–5 years of experience in heavy civil, site development, or infrastructure construction.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of earthwork, grading, utilities, paving, and civil construction operations.
  • Familiarity with construction plans, specifications, and project documentation processes.
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, HCSS, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, or Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced field environments and support multiple active projects.
