About the Role
We’re looking for a Finance Manager to lead the financial operations of multiple German entities, including one industrial plant and five associated companies. Reporting to both the Plant Director and Group CFO, this is a highly visible role responsible for financial reporting, compliance, treasury, and team leadership. You’ll play a pivotal role in performance monitoring, internal controls, and financial system optimisation within a multinational group structure.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate statutory financial reporting and compliance with German and Group standards.
- Prepare and present monthly closings (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and rolling forecasts.
- Lead budgeting processes and provide performance analysis and corrective guidance.
- Manage treasury and cash flow, anticipating financing needs and liaising with Group Treasury.
- Oversee accounting operations, fixed asset management, and inventory valuations.
- Implement Group internal controls and deploy financial procedures at the local level.
- Lead a team of 3 finance professionals, including goal-setting and development.
- Act as the main contact for auditors, tax advisors, banks, and government bodies.
- Ensure optimal use of SAP and Texware systems; support integration with Group IT strategy.
Requirements
- Degree from a top-tier business or engineering school, with specialisation in corporate finance.
- 3–10 years of experience in finance, ideally within industrial or automotive sectors.
- Proven experience in accounting, tax, controlling, and financial reporting.
- Strong command of ERP systems (SAP) and finance software (Texware, BFC).
- Fluent in English; French is a plus.
- Comfortable in matrix organisations and multicultural environments.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- High levels of rigor, ethics, and confidentiality in all financial activities.
