Finance Manager (Germany)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of a German industrial subsidiary. In this role, you will ensure financial soundness, compliance, and performance monitoring across the organization while supporting strategic and operational decision-making. You will lead a small finance team and act as the key interface between local operations, Group Finance, and external stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

  • Financial Management & Reporting – Ensure reliable statutory financial statements, prepare annual accounts, coordinate with auditors and tax advisors, and ensure compliance with local regulations and group standards.
  • Budgeting & Performance – Lead the annual budgeting process, monitor performance, analyze variances, and propose corrective measures in collaboration with operations.
  • Cash & Treasury – Oversee cash flow, anticipate financing needs, and prepare treasury reports in coordination with Group Finance.
  • Accounting & Operational Support – Manage fixed assets, oversee inventories, and ensure efficient processing of employee expenses while maintaining strong internal controls.
  • Compliance & Internal Controls – Deploy Group financial policies, strengthen control systems, and safeguard financial data integrity.
  • Team Leadership – Manage and develop a team of three finance professionals, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Management – Serve as the primary contact for auditors, banks, tax authorities, and public entities.
  • Systems & Tools – Ensure effective use of ERP systems (SAP, Texware) and support IT integration in finance processes.

Your Profile

  • Degree from a leading Business or Engineering School with a specialization in Corporate Finance
  • 3–10 years of relevant experience in finance, ideally in the industrial or automotive sector
  • Proficiency in accounting, tax, controlling, and financial reporting
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP experience required) and financial tools
  • Fluent English; French is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of rigor and integrity
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
