Are you a transformation-focused commercial leader ready to drive strategic change across multiple businesses in Europe? We are seeking a Senior Manager / Associate Director of Commercial Excellence to support performance improvement within a private equity portfolio. This high-impact role combines hands-on implementation with top-level strategic input—ideal for someone entrepreneurial, analytical, and results-oriented.
About the Opportunity
You’ll work within the operational performance (OPS) team of a leading European private equity investor. Your primary responsibility will be to support the turnaround and growth of portfolio companies by identifying and executing commercial improvement initiatives across functions such as sales, pricing, marketing, and customer operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead detailed business and commercial performance analysis immediately post-acquisition.
- Identify growth and efficiency opportunities across sales, pricing, product, and customer delivery.
- Work alongside local management teams to implement and track business improvement plans.
- Conduct risk mitigation analysis and maintain high transparency in reporting and outcomes.
- Support strategic setup and alignment of portfolio company commercial roadmaps.
- Contribute to operational due diligence for new acquisitions.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement across the commercial function.
Required Skills
- 7–9 years of international experience in Commercial Excellence roles in industry or consulting.
- Minimum 1 year of consulting experience required.
- Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Marketing, or related fields with strong academic performance.
- Experience in the automotive industry is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills, a pragmatic mindset, and proven ability to drive results in complex settings.
- Fluent in both English and German; an additional European language is a plus.
- Willingness to travel extensively (typically Mon–Thu) across Europe.
