About the Role

As a Senior Engineer – Building Automation, you’ll lead the design and integration of advanced automation and control systems within complex data centre environments. Working on projects from concept to commissioning, you’ll collaborate across disciplines and geographies to engineer solutions that align with industrial standards, client needs, and environmental goals.

Responsibilities

  • Design building automation systems (BAS) and control systems for critical MEP infrastructure.
  • Develop and review technical deliverables across all project phases, from concept to handover.
  • Collaborate with MEP engineers, architects, and data centre clients to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Present technical content to internal and external stakeholders across different levels of expertise.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in automation, digital controls, and smart systems.
  • Operate in a BIM-based environment using dedicated software tools.
  • Contribute to a globally connected team of experts sharing knowledge across borders.

Required Skills

  • University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 8+ years’ experience in designing control systems for industrial infrastructure (data centre experience strongly preferred).
  • Fluency in English and at least B2-level German.
  • Strong working knowledge of German and international automation standards and codes.
  • Familiarity with BIM environments and industry software.
  • Exceptional organization and prioritization skills, with a strong sense of ownership for deliverables.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in team-based, cross-cultural settings.
  • Passion for technical innovation, quality, and sustainability.
