As Procurement & Tender Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that energy storage projects are delivered with commercial clarity, contractual robustness, and technical alignment.
Sitting at the intersection of engineering, legal, and commercial functions, you will structure and lead procurement processes, manage tendering activities, and support projects through development up to Financial Close.
You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders – including EPCs, OEMs, advisors, and investors – to ensure well-structured contracts, balanced risk allocation, and efficient decision-making across the project lifecycle.

My client is one of the fastest-growing European energy storage developers, investors, and operators, focused on delivering large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to support grid stability and accelerate the energy transition.
The company combines technical expertise, financial structuring, and hands-on project delivery, working closely with institutional investors, lenders, EPC contractors, and technology providers to build high-quality, scalable energy infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and structure procurement and tender processes for BESS projects and long-lead equipment.
- Develop tender strategies, frameworks, and contracting approaches from early-stage development through contract award.
- Coordinate cross-functional inputs (technical, legal, commercial) to ensure consistent and aligned contracting structures.
- Define and negotiate key contractual elements, including:
- Milestones
- Securities and guarantees
- Warranties
- Risk allocation
- Support FEED and pre-construction phases, ensuring documentation and procurement readiness.
- Act as the primary interface with suppliers, EPCs, and external partners during tendering and negotiations.
- Ensure alignment with investor and lender requirements in project structuring and contracting.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes, templates, and governance frameworks.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5–8 years’ experience in procurement, tendering, or project contracting within renewable energy or infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of project lifecycles, contract structures, and risk allocation principles.
- Experience working with BESS, EPC contractors, OEMs, or large infrastructure suppliers is highly advantageous.
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and align technical and commercial priorities.
- Strong analytical, structured, and pragmatic mindset.
- Fluent in English and Dutch.
