About the Role
This position plays a key role in managing the IT supply chain across multiple critical business areas, ensuring effective procurement and vendor management for technology products and services. The role supports teams across clearing, trading, and information security, balancing cost, quality, and risk in all vendor relationships.
The role is focused on supporting three critical IT teams
• Clearing, Corporate & Post Trade (CCP) – The development team who support the clearing business.
• Trading, Core Engineering & Data (TED) – The development team who support the core trading business including the open cry trading ring.
• Information Security (InfoSec) – The shared services team supporting all aspects for IT information security.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing:
- Manage sourcing activities and third-party IT spend across the organisation.
- Conduct supplier due diligence and risk management for all procurements.
- Coordinate with internal IT, Finance, and Legal teams to align procurement outcomes with company objectives.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives, outsourcing projects, and procurement optimisation.
- Collaborate with group procurement on global initiatives when required.
Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, ensuring optimal service delivery.
- Monitor supplier performance against SLAs, quality metrics, and contractual terms.
- Manage escalations, renewals, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
- Oversee contract management, including terminations, renewals, and cost reviews.
- Track budgets, contract lifecycles, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Service Management:
- Facilitate service reviews and vendor meetings to ensure accountability.
- Support compliance with internal IT policies, service level expectations, and audit requirements.
- Report on vendor performance, costs, risks, and improvement areas.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or related field.
- CIPS qualification or equivalent preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in IT procurement, vendor management, or category management.
- Experience running competitive tenders and negotiating complex technology contracts.
- Knowledge of IT products, services, and procurement methodologies.
- Understanding of financial management, contracts, and supplier risk.

- Ability to manage multiple suppliers and tasks in parallel.
