My client is seeking an experienced Head of Accounting & Finance Processes to lead the transformation and modernisation of its finance operations across the DACH region. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership position responsible for SAP implementation, digital process optimisation, and ensuring compliance with international accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end SAP implementation and integration across finance systems within the DACH region.
- Oversee monthly financial reporting in line with HGB, IFRS, and Swiss GAAP standards.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and robust internal controls across all entities.
- Drive digitalisation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and transparency in accounting and finance operations.
- Manage a team of 3 within a shared service centre, responsible for closing 3–5 entity books across multiple plants.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to standardise accounting processes and improve reporting accuracy and timeliness.
- Act as a key advisor to the CFO on system transformation, data integrity, and operational excellence.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 8–10 years of experience in accounting, finance, and process improvement, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven hands-on SAP implementation and digital finance transformation experience.
- Deep knowledge of HGB, IFRS, and Swiss GAAP accounting standards.
- Experience managing multi-entity or multi-plant financial operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in German (native) and English (professional).
- Structured, analytical, and proactive with a drive for continuous improvement.
