Vice President Operations
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for all operational activities within the EMEA region.
- Supervise production processes, making sure that quality requirements are met, expenses are kept under control, and goods are delivered on schedule
- Collaborate closely with other functional leaders (Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, etc.) to ensure alignment and effective execution of business strategies.
- Foster a culture of cross-functional collaboration and communication.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency enhancements.
- Drive continuous improvement projects by putting lean methodology and best practices into practice
- Ensure that all manufacturing processes adhere to industry quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain quality control measures throughout the production cycle.
- Develop and execute capacity planning strategies to meet current and future production demands.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to optimize inventory levels and reduce lead times.
- Implement cost control measures to optimize operational expenses while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Drive initiatives to improve cost efficiency in manufacturing processes.
- Lead and develop a high-performing operations team.
- Implement talent development programs to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Participate in the creation of the overarching business plan, emphasising operational competencies
- Provide insights and recommendations for long-term operational planning and investment.
- Identify and assess operational risks, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure business continuity plans are in place for all critical operational functions
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within automotive manufacturing, with a focus on interior components.
- In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and meet business objectives.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align operational activities with overall business goals.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and quality standards.
- Willingness to travel as required.
