Vice President Operations

Düsseldorf, Germany (Hybrid)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for all operational activities within the EMEA region.
  • Supervise production processes, making sure that quality requirements are met, expenses are kept under control, and goods are delivered on schedule
  • Collaborate closely with other functional leaders (Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, etc.) to ensure alignment and effective execution of business strategies.
  • Foster a culture of cross-functional collaboration and communication.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency enhancements.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects by putting lean methodology and best practices into practice
  • Ensure that all manufacturing processes adhere to industry quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures throughout the production cycle.
  • Develop and execute capacity planning strategies to meet current and future production demands.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to optimize inventory levels and reduce lead times.
  • Implement cost control measures to optimize operational expenses while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Drive initiatives to improve cost efficiency in manufacturing processes.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing operations team.
  • Implement talent development programs to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Participate in the creation of the overarching business plan, emphasising operational competencies
  • Provide insights and recommendations for long-term operational planning and investment.
  • Identify and assess operational risks, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure business continuity plans are in place for all critical operational functions

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within automotive manufacturing, with a focus on interior components.
  • In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and meet business objectives.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align operational activities with overall business goals.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and quality standards.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
