Principal Satellite System Engineer

We are looking for a Principal Satellite System Engineer based in Washington, DC, to drive the design and development of advanced satellite systems. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on engineering to deliver innovative solutions for government and commercial missions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect complex satellite systems and ensure alignment with mission and customer requirements.
• Lead cross-functional teams in the integration and testing of satellite systems.
• Perform comprehensive analysis of satellite performance, including link budgets, power systems, and payload configurations.
• Support business development by providing technical expertise in proposal development and customer engagements.
• Represent the organization at industry conferences and regulatory meetings.
• Foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence within the engineering team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, with a focus on Space Systems or Telecommunications.
• 12+ years of experience in satellite engineering, with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
• Proficiency in satellite system modeling, simulation, and optimization tools.
• Experience with government contracts and regulatory frameworks is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
