Senior Grid Code Engineer
YOUR TASKS
- Execution of Fault Ride Through Tests (FRT), in which damped short circuits are generated in the medium-voltage grid of wind farms
- Planning and construction of the business own test systems as well as configuration according to test requirements, execution of MV switching operations
- Execution of power quality measurements in accordance with international guidelines with the businesses own measuring systems
- Analysis, evaluation and documentation of tests for compliance with international guidelines
- Implementation of software updates and parameter adjustments to wind turbines
- Close cooperation with international departments and suppliers to optimize the systems as well as with accredited measuring institutes
YOUR PROFILE
- Completed studies in electrical engineering (ideally with a focus on energy technology) or comparable training with further qualification
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in an international industrial environment
- Knowledge of the application of relevant international guidelines (e.g. IEC 61400-21-1, FGW TR3)
- Experience in the field of medium-voltage switchgear is an advantage
- Experience in dealing with measurement technology and measurement data analysis desirable (e.g. Famos)
- Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
- Initiative, responsible and structured way of working as well as a strong health and safety awareness
- Good communication and teamwork skills paired with intercultural competence
- Suitability for heights, car driver’s license and willingness to make regular short trips – typically in northern Germany / neighboring countries
