Technology Development Engineer

TASKS:

  • Technology development for inverters in the field of sintering and soldering of power semiconductors and modules
  • Planning, project planning and commissioning of development and small series systems for sintering and soldering
  • Optimization of proposed manufacturing processes and designs in cooperation with development and suppliers
  • Structure of a machine/process capability documentation and specification
  • Ensuring robust manufacturing processes according to Design for Six Sigma Standards (DFSS), Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
  • Creation of project status and test reports
  • Cooperation with project partners from research and development
  • Supervision of student work

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completed technical studies, ideally in the fields of materials, electrical or precision engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable
  • Many years of specialist professional experience in the automotive environment and the connection technology of power electronics
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the processing of sinter pastes and solder preforms, sintering and soldering as well as the qualification of the components and the design of the required equipment
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English
  • Analytical, entrepreneurial and strategic thinking as well as innovative strength
  • High team spirit and enthusiasm as well as a structured way of working with the motivation to tackle and advance topics independently
  • Good and strong communication skills
