Staff Electrical Engineer
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze, simulate, test, and document digital and analogue circuits
- Investigate vehicle system issues in collaboration with Systems Engineering and Application Engineering.
- Assist customers with technical discussions.
- Ensure circuit schematics and technical documentation are created.
- Key, critical electrical components must be specified, identified, selected, and tested.
- Assume responsibility for the design and layout of circuit boards, substrates, and electrical interconnects/bus structures.
- Communicate the project’s technical status both internally and externally.
- Make mathematical models to describe power circuits.
- Assist multidisciplinary design teams, such as systems, mechanical, and software, in producing reliable electrical products.
- Conduct worst-case circuit analysis (WCCA), circuit simulation, power dissipation calculations, DFMEA, schematic capture, and EMC design.
- Perform the electrical debug, test, characterization, and validation of power electronics designs
- Perform electrical design, simulation, and analysis of electronic controller circuits used in power electronics devices and systems to meet technical product requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Electrical Engineering Bachelor of Science
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Understanding of circuit schematic and PCB layout CAD software
- Experience in switching power supply design
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- 10 years engineering industry experience
