Shipping Manager

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Management of shipping staff
• Ensuring smooth shipping processing
• Implementation of process optimizations and process digitization’s
• Supervision of the external warehouse
• Monitoring of occupational safety, cleanliness and order in shipping
• Maintenance of packaging regulations, development and implementation of packaging concepts
• Maintaining contact with freight forwarders and conducting appropriate project discussions
• Negotiation of tariffs and freight prices
• Creation of shipping statistics and evaluation of the required key figures
• Conducting employee appraisals and ensuring the training and further education of shipping employees

QUALIFICATIONS:

• You have successfully completed a 3-year commercial apprenticeship (preferably as a forwarding and logistics services clerk (m/f/d) or wholesale and foreign trade clerk (m/f/d)) and have several years of professional experience in a comparable position
• You have in-depth knowledge of all types of forwarding – ADSp, CMR, ISPM No. 15 (land transport, sea freight, air freight, courier express parcel service, packaging) and have basic knowledge of customs
• You are experienced in the use of common MS Office programs, supplemented by in-depth SAP knowledge
• You convince with your problem-solving skills and high assertiveness
• You are a team player and have good communication, persuasion and negotiation skills. Flexibility, resilience and initiative are a matter of course for you
• Business fluent English skills round off your profile
