Senioe Development Manager

TASKS:

• Evaluate projects in order to incorporate them into the development process
• Start the process of applying for environmental permits, involving licenced planning offices, and increase internal resources in accordance with projected needs
• Examine new and pertinent locations with public and private actors by conducting focused personal study or using the GIS Team’s results
• Act as the company’s representative in local public or private sectors, government agencies, and communities to introduce and make projects financially feasible
• Secure land through the negotiation and signing of promises of lease
• Create and maintain a network of German land scouts and originators

QUALIFICATIONS:

• School of Management or University Degree
• At least 8-12 years of experience in the renewable energy sector with specific focus on wind development in the DACH region
• Senior Wind Project Development Manager Germany
• Origination skills and open-minded mentality to communicate across cultural barriers
• 2 to 3 years of experience in Wind development, or similar requiring project management with communities and handling of the German environmental permitting process
• Greenfield development experience combined with technical know-how in the wind sector
• Hands-on approach, problem solving skills and interested in renewable energy in general
• Well acquainted with the German regulatory system and its bureaucratic hurdles
• Able to communicate well with land-owners as well as C-level executives
• Willing to handle multiple projects within a certain timeframe
• Creating future opportunities within the parameters as introduced
