Security Engineer

YOUR TASKS:

• As an F5 expert on complicated issues in the client environment, lead and assist the Operations team
• Participate in client projects, suggest architectural deployments, and create, record, and evaluate high- and low-level design documents. Implement f5 solutions or move the current infrastructure, and coordinate the necessary efforts
• Actively advancing the Network and Security Operations Centre Services’ technological and procedural capabilities
• Ensure infrastructure operations (2nd and 3rd level support) in compliance with customer specific SLAs. Identify, assess, and implement solutions based on f5 load balancer, Access Policy Manager, web application security, and IAM integration capabilities
• As a member of the worldwide Network and Security Operations Centre team, you will manage sophisticated global enterprise-wide f5 deployments to successfully fulfil all unique business requirements and guarantee the smooth operation of client infrastructure
• Conduct analysis and offer recommendations for f5 infrastructures as the technical escalation point for lead problem management. Identify and reduce implementation-related risks while planning changes for client f5 designs

YOUR PROFILE:

• Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure, independent, structured, reliable way of working and hands-on mentality
• Minimum 4 years of work experience with network and security technologies and bachelor’s degree in Technology or in Computer Science
• Extensive professional experience as a network and security engineer in the areas of architectural design, operations, and consulting
• Thorough understanding of the latest principles and technique in respect to authentication protocols
• Very good experience with web security and web application firewalls
• Quick perception, creativity, structured approach and pleasure in solving complex challenges, willingness for upgrading skills and very good communication skills both written and oral in English and German.
• Advanced level of troubleshooting skills on f5 systems and with diverse network, authentication and web traffic analysis tools
• Professional Level and/or expert level certification for f5 and any additional technology and certification is a benefit
