Quality Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement quality management systems and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain quality objectives, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve product quality and process efficiency.
  • Lead and manage a team of quality professionals, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure effective execution of quality assurance activities.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of manufacturing processes, facilities, and products to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage customer quality concerns and complaints, leading root cause analysis investigations and implementing corrective and preventive actions to address issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to ensure alignment on quality requirements and expectations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in quality management, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on quality performance, trends, and initiatives to senior management, highlighting areas of success and opportunities for improvement.
  • Champion a culture of quality excellence, fostering a collaborative and proactive approach to quality throughout the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management roles within the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO/TS 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA,8D,5WHY).
  • Proven track record of leading successful quality improvement initiatives and driving continuous improvement efforts.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and root cause analysis.
  • Experience with quality tools and techniques (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Statistical Process Control) is desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and quality management software applications.
