Project Manager PV Systems

You will be in charge of organising a group of professionals to successfully carry out and deliver engineering projects for the solar energy industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Budget and Cost Management:

• Keep track of project costs and look for ways to reduce them without sacrificing quality
• Participate in budgeting and cost estimation for solar projects

Project Planning and Execution:

• Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to the planned schedule and budget
• Make detailed project plans that cover the scope, checkpoints, timeframes, and resource allocation for roof and open space systems
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to define objectives and deliverables

Stakeholder Management:

• Collaborate with external stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to facilitate project success

Technical Expertise:

• Troubleshoot technical challenges during project execution and provide innovative solutions
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of solar energy systems, PV technology, grid interconnection, and industry best practices to support the team

Procurement and Supply Chain Management:

• Oversee the procurement of solar equipment and materials, ensuring timely delivery and quality

Team Leadership and Coordination:

• Delegate tasks and responsibilities, fostering a collaborative work environment
• Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team of engineers, project managers, technicians, and support staff

• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and performance

Client Communication:

• Serve as the client’s principal point of contact, keeping in regular contact to share project developments and resolve any concerns
• Ensure excellent client satisfaction by delivering projects on time and within scope

Quality Assurance:

• Conduct regular inspections and reviews to maintain project quality
• Establish and implement quality control procedures to ensure projects meet industry standards and client requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• Successfully completed studies in the field of industrial engineering, electrical engineering, energy technology, renewable energy technology or similar training
• Several years of professional experience in a comparable position including management experience
• Experience in the coordination of (international) teams
• Proven experience in managing solar energy projects within an EPC environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems and associated technologies.
• Experience working with AutoCAD/ Civil
• Knowledge of Helios/ PVCase and Power Factory would be an advantage
• Very good knowledge of German and good written and spoken English
