Production Manager

Monterrey, Mexico

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day manufacturing operations for automotive interiors, including scheduling, production planning, and resource allocation to meet production targets and customer requirements.
  • Lead and develop a team of production supervisors, technicians, and operators, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and maintenance, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of production activities with overall business objectives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency, implementing measures to optimize performance and drive operational excellence.
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality standards to ensure consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, waste reduction, and cost optimization, leading initiatives to implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials, components, and services, negotiating contracts and agreements as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce lead times, and increase overall customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety awareness and adherence to best practices in the workplace.
  • Prepare regular reports on production performance, including trends, variances, and action plans, to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
