Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, quality control, and workforce management.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize production efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements in all manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and logistics, to coordinate production activities and meet customer requirements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage and develop a team of production supervisors and operators, providing coaching, training, and support to foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components, negotiating contracts and agreements as necessary.
  • Drive initiatives to implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices, promoting operational excellence and maximizing productivity.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, operational metrics, and project status to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in the automotive manufacturing sector, leveraging knowledge to drive innovation and maintain competitiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management role within the automotive manufacturing industry, with a focus on metal components.
  • Proven track record of success in leading manufacturing operations, driving process improvements, and achieving operational targets.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in both German and English languages, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of metal manufacturing processes, including machining, stamping, welding, and assembly.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
