HSE Supervisor
Role Summary
The HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Supervisor will oversee and implement HSE policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for RES projects. Working remotely from Athens, Greece, this role will involve collaboration with international teams and occasional travel to sites and project locations.
Key Responsibilities
- HSE Management: Develop, implement, and monitor HSE plans, policies, and procedures for Renewable Energy projects.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, national, and international HSE regulations, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification for all project activities, providing recommendations to mitigate risks.
- Incident Management: Investigate incidents, near-misses, and non-compliance, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented.
- Training & Awareness: Organize HSE training programs and promote a strong safety culture among all stakeholders.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed HSE performance reports, metrics, and recommendations for management and stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with contractors, clients, and regulatory authorities to align HSE goals and practices.
- Audits & Inspections: Conduct regular HSE audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
- Emergency Response: Develop and maintain emergency response plans, ensuring readiness for offshore activities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in HSE management, with at least 2 years in the renewable energy sector.
- Familiarity with renewable energy standards.
- Professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP) are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Greek and EU HSE regulations and international standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage diverse teams.
- Proficiency in HSE software and MS Office Suite.
- Fluency in English & Greek written and spoken language.
- Willingness to travel for site visits and project needs.
