Asset Manager
Role Summary
The Asset Manager will be responsible for overseeing the performance, financial health, and operational management of renewable energy assets, including solar, wind, and other clean energy projects. This remote position, based in Athens, Greece, involves collaboration with diverse stakeholders to ensure maximum asset value and adherence to sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Performance Monitoring: Analyze asset performance metrics, identifying areas for optimization and implementing improvements.
- Financial Management: Oversee budgets, financial forecasts, and ensure assets achieve targeted returns on investment.
- Contract Oversight: Manage contracts with service providers, operators, and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance and alignment with project goals.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary liaison with investors, partners, regulators, and local authorities, providing updates and ensuring alignment on objectives.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to asset operations and develop strategies for mitigation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all renewable energy assets comply with Greek and EU regulations.
- Life Cycle Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to optimize asset performance throughout their operational lifecycle, including upgrades and end-of-life planning.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Prepare regular reports on asset performance, financial status, and operational issues for internal and external stakeholders.
- Innovation & Technology: Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements to asset operations.
- Crisis Response: Support emergency planning and response efforts to minimize operational disruptions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in asset management, with a focus on renewable energy preferred.
- Strong understanding of solar, wind, and other renewable energy technologies and operations.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and asset management tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders effectively.
- Familiarity with Greek and EU renewable energy regulations and standards.
- Fluency in English & Greek written and spoken language.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a remote work environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits and meetings.
