Lead Legal Associate

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide the company with legal support as well as assistance with business development and management, including, asset management, purchasing, engineering, construction, human resources, general services, financial and tax, environmental, and operations and maintenance
• In charge of coordinating civil, criminal, and contentious administrative processes and, if needed, providing legal defence with outside counsel
• Organise the execution of legal papers and create reporting systems in collaboration with external and internal clients, outside law firms, and legal experts
• Assist in the preparation and tracking of applications for licences and permits, as well as the administrative and, if necessary, the contentious processes associated with those permits, in order to provide legal advice in legal-administrative proceedings for the development of renewable energy projects
• Prepare, revise and negotiate legal contracts and documents: NDA’s, Supply Agreements, EPC and BOP contracts, O&M, Project Finance, Services Agreements, etc. in coordination with the Corporate Legal Department
• Maintain database with main local laws and regulations
• Offer legal support to ensure adherence to legal obligations, particularly in relation to Criminal Law, and regulatory matters, addressing complex business procedures in light of the General Data Protection Regulation

SOME QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 6 to 8 years’ experience as a lawyer, preferably in the Renewable Energy sector
• German Native and ability to read, write and speak fluently professional English. Additionally, Spanish will be a plus
• Ability to manage priorities and flexibility to adapt to changing organizational needs
• Ability to multi-task and oversee multiple projects simultaneously
• Availability to travel when required
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Mature judgment, dependability and strong work ethic
