Head of project development

A leading renewable energy company is seeking a Head of Development to oversee project development and lead a local team in Germany. This role focuses on solar and battery storage projects, ensuring successful execution from planning to construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies for renewable energy project development.

• Lead and manage the development team.

• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities.

• Oversee project pipelines to achieve “Ready-to-Build” status.

• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

• Support M&A activities for project acquisitions and sales.

• Collaborate with internal teams (EPC, Legal, Grid) to ensure smooth project execution.

• Prepare reports and materials for internal investment reviews.

• Represent the company at industry events and forums.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Management, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in renewable energy project development.

• 2+ years in a leadership role.

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and time management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Fluency in German and English.

• Willingness to travel as needed.
