Head of System & Software Functional Test

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Give the area technical leadership and guidance on test procedures
• Provide leadership to the European System and Software Functional Test organization executing System and Software test, verification and test automation
• Lead System Test Leads and System Test Managers and support with customer escalations on test related issues
• Continue the project’s defect tracking procedure
• Write and update test processes in collaboration with global test engineering leadership
• Be a role model and driver for the companies belief’s and values
• Support status reporting to internal stakeholders and customers
• Ensure appropriate staffing and resource availability for existing and new development projects to meet project deliverables on time
• Generate appropriate metrics and KPIs to measure performance and success
• Manage a number of teams by leading the respective supervisors and direct reports
• Make sure that test benches are defined, configured, and that the SW licences that the test teams use are maintained
• Budget and oversee capital expenditures for projects involving test equipment
• Ensure adherence to development processes, support quality audits and process assessments
• Establish and implement policies, guidelines, and best practises to improve the effectiveness and calibre of functional test teams

YOUR PROFILE:

• 10 years of experience and proven skills in managing test and validation groups (leading and directing, staffing, building effective teams), with a proven and successful record leading engineering development teams
• Fluent in English is required. Mastery of a second language is preferred
• Experience in different types of test generation methodology
• Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics or similar
• Expertise in Power Electronics (High Voltage Test Setting)
• Experience in interfacing with OEMs/customers and service providers
• Experience working internationally with cross-cultural teams
• Experience in writing test specifications on requirements as well as designs
• Experience in and detailed knowledge of ASPICE and related assessments on SW and Systems level
• 15+ years of experience in electronic systems and SW functional testing and validation
• Experience in executing tests on different test environment, e.g. vehicle, dyno, HV/LV bench, HiL
