Head of Sales

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives, market trends, and customer needs.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the sales team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure they consistently achieve their individual and team sales targets.
  • Market Penetration: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the company’s market presence and increase sales revenue in the solar energy sector.
  • Key Account Management: Cultivate strong relationships with key clients, strategic partners, and stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships and enhance customer loyalty.
  • New Business Development: Explore new market segments, identify potential customers, and oversee the acquisition of new business opportunities to fuel company growth.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Analyze sales data, generate accurate sales forecasts, and provide regular reports to the executive team regarding sales performance and market trends.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Ensure that customer needs and expectations are met or exceeded, driving a customer-centric approach across the sales team.
  • Contract Negotiations: Oversee contract negotiations with customers, vendors, and partners, ensuring mutually beneficial and profitable agreements.
  • Sales Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve the sales processes, strategies, and tools to enhance the team’s efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Sales Training and Development: Coordinate sales training programs to enhance the team’s product knowledge, sales skills, and understanding of solar energy solutions.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve sales objectives while maintaining cost control.
  • Industry Networking: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, leveraging these opportunities to build brand awareness and forge valuable connections


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in sales leadership roles within the solar industry, preferably with an IPP or renewable energy organization.
  • Extensive knowledge of solar energy technologies, market trends, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales growth, expanding market share, and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate sales teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build strong customer relationships.
  • Data-driven and analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed decisions.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, capable of navigating complex business challenges.
  • Proactive and results-oriented approach, with a track record of driving successful sales initiatives.
