Head of Production

  • Technical and disciplinary management of the employees in production
  • Personnel deployment and temporary worker planning in the production area (>220MA)
  • Conducting appraisal interviews, including discussions on hiring and terminating employees
  • Responsibility for ensuring the timely processing of all production orders
  • Organization and monitoring of the production process
  • Reporting and statement on the production process (incl. initiation of countermeasures) vis-à-vis management & BU management
  • Collaboration in optimization projects in production, e.g. to reduce throughput times and set-up times
  • Application and monitoring of lean management tools (e.g. shop floor, 5S, etc.)
  • Collaboration in the transformation/implementation of new production structures (e.g. push in pull production)
  • Ensuring the availability of production capacities
  • Guidance and development of subordinate executives, MA Production, MA IBT, MA Packaging
  • Initiation of measures to reduce rejects
  • Development of an efficient organization (production & adjacent departments)
  • Responsibility for the control and safeguarding of occupational safety and accident prevention regulations
  • Responsibility for monitoring the order and cleanliness of the departments


  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Flawless handling of the common MS-Office package
  • Very good knowledge of SAP modules MM and PP
  • Very good technical, personnel and business knowledge
  • Basic knowledge of employment law
  • Very good knowledge of occupational health and safety
  • Very good communication skills incl. ability for presentations
  • Very good assertiveness and organizational talent
  • Experience in leading/developing employees and executives
  • Experience in establishing, integrating and developing additional management levels
