Global Head of Retail
Key Responsibilities:
- Retail Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive global retail strategy to maximize sales and profitability while maintaining the highest standards of luxury and customer experience across 300+ stores globally.
- Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a diverse team of regional and local retail leaders, providing clear direction, coaching, and mentorship to ensure consistent execution of company objectives.
- Market Expansion: Identify new market opportunities, including potential locations for new stores or partnerships, and create market entry plans to expand our luxury retail presence.
- Brand Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to create brand awareness campaigns, visual merchandising strategies, and promotional activities that resonate with the luxury consumer demographic.
- Sales Performance: Monitor and analyze sales data, key performance indicators, and market trends to make data-driven decisions and continuously improve sales performance.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory planning and management to optimize product availability, reduce excess stock, and improve inventory turnover ratios.
- Customer Experience: Ensure a consistent and exceptional customer experience in all retail locations, including adherence to luxury service standards, staff training, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the retail budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient allocation of resources to achieve financial targets.
- Compliance: Ensure all retail operations adhere to legal and regulatory requirements, including health and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field; MBA preferred
- 10-15+ years of senior-level experience in luxury retail management, with a proven track record of driving growth and profitability. Ideally on a global scale
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce
- Store design and customer experience is absolutely essential
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
- Deep understanding of the luxury retail industry, market trends, and consumer behaviour
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Global mindset and willingness to travel as needed
