Functional Safety Assessor Lead

TASKS:

• Responsibilities will include ensuring that PDS goods are safe to use and doing advanced tasks that fully use and apply safety management best practises or industry standard methodologies
• One of the responsibilities is guiding and educating project teams on the Electronics Development Framework (EDF) verification measures procedure
• Continuously improving processes
• Direct a group of Functional Safety Assessors (FSA) spread across many nations
• Develop and deliver training in Functional Safety area of expertise in the FSA team or to any teams as needed
• On demand, lead verified measures assessments and serve as an FS expert for the quality organisation
• Define metrics/KPI to monitor team performance /projects status
• Manage team talent by setting objectives and performing performance evaluations
• Implement a Functional safety confirmation measures strategy
• Update management on project status
• Expected to travel 25% of the tie to visit projects/team members, customers
• Create plans to carry out predetermined goals
• With knowledge of FS-relevant results from fields, support numerous projects for FS confirmation measures during the development phases, including quote and post-production programmes

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Flexibility to travel at the customer or in engineering sites when necessary
• Engineering degree
• Excellent analytical abilities; be succinct and accurate
• Expert in safety analysis using methods such dependent failures analysis, SFMEA, and FMEDA
• Fluency in English, German is an advantage
• Excellent communication skills and able to deal with all levels of the organization and culture
• 5–10 years of experience developing systems and software for automotive embedded systems with the application of functional safety mechanisms, such as EGAS, or working as a safety manager
• Team management skills
• Knowledge of Quality Management (ISO 16949, PPAP process, ASPICE/CMMI) in System and Software Electronics System
• Proven ability to plan, communicate, and collaborate with others—a team player
