Functional Safety Assessor Lead

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Make sure that PDS goods are safe to use and complete advanced assignments that call for the usage and use of best practises for safety management or accepted industry practises
• Improve the definition of the Functional Safety process and the product quality in EDF by working with the Engineering Methods and Tools team
• Mentoring and training project teams in Electronics Development Framework (EDF) confirmation measures procedure are among the responsibilities
• Ensure faultless programme launches, implement, support, and manage functional safety management, specifically confirmation measures global plans and performance
• Lead a team of Functional Safety Assessors (FSA) located in several countries
• Expected Travel time 25% to visit projects/ team members, customers
• Participate in any FS audits or assessments, whether they are internal or external, and in any discussions with clients about functional safety issues as necessary
• Manage team talent by setting objectives and conducting performance evaluations
• Report projects status to management
• During the development phases, support several projects for FS confirmation measures, including quote and post-production programmes with knowledge of FS pertinent returns from field
• Define metrics/KPI to monitor team performance /projects status

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Fluency in English, German is a plus
• 5-10 years’ experience in system/software development in automotive embedded System and Software with Functional safety mechanism implementation
• Excellent communication skills and able to deal with all levels of the organization and culture
• Engineering degree
• Flexibility to travel at the customer or in engineering sites when necessary
• Safety analysis practitioner of techniques such as : FMEDA, SFMEA, dependent failures analysis
• Knowledgeable in Quality management
• Working well under pressure and setting priorities appropriately
• Strong analytical skills – be concise and precise
