Electronics Hardware Development Lead
TASKS:
- Inform and enforce safe work procedures.
- Design templates and guidelines for power electronics / electronics products, as well as standard work processes.
- Leadership and indirect supervision of the power electronics hardware team’s power electronics electrical hardware design engineers, electronics electrical engineers, EMC design engineers, and electrical controller design engineers.
- Team development, including talent management system life cycle processes
- Collaborates with System Project Leads and Program Managers to achieve project objectives and goals.
- Assess and coordinate training to meet the needs of the company and its employees.
- Assess work quality, responsiveness, and communication. Make necessary changes.
- Manage hardware configuration, hardware requirements, hardware integration, hardware releases, and development environments.
- Develops customer relationships and ensures smooth customer communication
- Lead the team to deliver hardware that meets input requirements and program expectations while adhering to agreed-upon resources and other requirements.
- Develop and maintain product and technology roadmaps for power electronics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required
- Automotive experience strongly preferred
- Excellent people skills and history of teamwork
- Willingness/ability to travel 10% both domestically and internationally
- Minimum 8 years electronics engineering experience required with a minimum of 3 years specific to electronics hardware design
- Prior lead/leadership experience required
- Subject Matter Expert in Power Electronics
