Electronics Hardware Development Lead
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create standard work processes, and design templates & guidelines for power electronics / electronics products
- Leading and assisting in the indirect supervision of the power electronics hardware team’s electrical controller design engineers, electronics electrical engineers, and EMC design engineers
- Grows relationships with customers and ensures smooth customer communication
- Lead hardware configuration management, hardware requirements, hardware integration, hardware releases and development environments
- Works with System Project Leads and Program Managers to meet project goals and objectives
- Team development, including cycle methods for talent management
- Maintain market and technology roadmaps for power electronics
- Communicate and enforce safe work procedures
- Manage and prioritize workload of the team and related outside resources. Maintain visibility of workload to engineering organization
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in electronics engineering must be at least 8 years, with a minimum of 3 years being dedicated to designing electronics hardware
- Willingness/ability to travel 10% both domestically and internationally
- Ability to talk to the customer & represent hardware
- Have experience with planning and testing for requirements compliance (fulfilment of V Diagrams)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required; Masters in Engineering or MBA is a plus
- Excellent people skills and history of teamwork
- Familiar with Team Center preferred
- Excellent planning and networking skills
- Familiar with Mentor Graphics preferred
