Cyber Security Architect

As our Security Architectyou will take a lead in:

  • Developing, implementing and managing our approach to security that protects our infrastructure, systems and information.
  • Preventing, identifying and remediating security threats and vulnerabilities
  • Collaborating with other teams to improve the overall performance and reliability of the organisation’s security architecture

About You

  • Have several years’ experience in a similar cyber security role, with a good understanding of security principles, architectures and best practice
  • Have good experience in the Microsoft cloud security stack
  • Are a good communicator, able to explain security concepts and their benefits to technical and non-technical staff
  • Are customer focussed, always delivering excellent customer care and identifying ways to improve our approach to cyber security
  • Pay attention to detail and have good time management skills, able to prioritise work and deliver to multiple deadlines
  • Have good analytical and problem-solving skills, thinking outside of the box when necessary
  • Like to keep up to date with the latest IT Trends and products, identifying how the business might benefit from these
  • Are keen to develop your skills and gain industry recognised qualifications (CISM, CiSSP etc)
  • Already have, or be able to achieve, UK SC security vetting clearance

We are ideally looking for the following technical experience:

  • Security incident management processes
  • Cloud security (Azure and AWS)
  • Azure infrastructure (e.g virtual machines)
  • ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus
  • Good knowledge of cloud identity and access management (e.g. Azure AD, MFA, Conditional Access etc)
  • Vulnerability management
  • Some knowledge of SD WAN, network segmentation and Site to Site VPNs
  • Architecting and managing network perimeter security devices (firewalls etc)
  • Some knowledge of current MS server operating systems and services they provide (DNS, DHCP, Domain services etc)
