Business Development Team Lead
RESPONSIBILIITIES:
Market Analysis:
- Assess the financial viability, market viability, and potential risks of new company prospects
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential customers, partners, and market segments for hydrogen storage solutions.
- Analyze customer needs, pain points, and buying behavior to tailor product offerings and value propositions accordingly.
Partnership Development:
- Manage ongoing partnerships, ensuring effective communication, performance tracking, and mutual growth
- Identify and pursue strategic partnerships, collaborations, and joint ventures to enhance our hydrogen storage portfolio
- Negotiate and finalize agreements, including licensing, distribution, and technology transfer deals, to expand market reach
Business Strategy:
- Identify target markets, assess competitive landscape, and define market positioning and pricing strategies.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy for the hydrogen storage sector
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge
Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise, support customer engagements, and drive revenue growth.
- Lead the sales process, including prospecting, proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing deals
- Develop sales forecasts, targets, and budgets, and monitor progress against established goals
Relationship Management:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, R&D, and marketing, to align business strategies and meet customer requirements
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, government agencies, and potential customers
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote our hydrogen storage solutions and establish thought leadership
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within the hydrogen or energy industry
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivated, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate market opportunities and make data-driven decisions
- Strong network and relationships with key stakeholders in the hydrogen ecosystem
- Demonstrated track record of successfully closing business deals and meeting revenue targets
- Deep knowledge of hydrogen storage technologies, market dynamics, and industry trends
