Automotive Quality Engineer
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Quality Planning:
Develop and implement strategic quality plans for automotive products.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to integrate quality considerations into the product development process.
- Inspection and Testing:
Conduct inspections and testing of automotive components and systems.
Utilize various quality tools and methodologies to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Supplier Quality Management:
Work closely with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards.
Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
- Root Cause Analysis:
Investigate and analyze quality issues to identify root causes.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality concerns.
- Continuous Improvement:
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality.
Implement Lean and Six Sigma principles to optimize processes and reduce defects.
- Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality activities.
Prepare and present quality reports to management and stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality planning within the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards and regulations.
- Familiarity with quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and control plans.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
