Global Manufacturing Engineer

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Responsible for assisting and developing manufacturing cost estimates for the business cases
  • Create solutions to manufacturability issues of new products
  • Ensure that new designs incorporate manufacturing best practice’s and lessons gained.
  • Focal point for manufacturing technical discussions with cross functional teams, management, and customers
  • Communicate and enforce safe work procedures
  • Develop flexible manufacturing systems specifications to meet internal & customer requirements
  • Travel up to 30% both domestically and internationally
  • Develop innovative processes for global implementation
  • Identification and closure of safety issues (suggestions, inspection and investigation findings, hazards, and controls, GSSF action) and their corrective actions
  • Work with Build Technicians on initial customer & validation samples
  • Work with Product, Quality and Plant Engineering to identify root causes of manufacturing related issues.

SOME REQUIREMENTS:

  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience required in Automotive Manufacturing or Equivalent.
  • Solid understanding of Engineering financials
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of vehicle system level components and functions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Working knowledge of vehicle system level components and functions
  • Strong computer skills in Windows applications
  • Ability to work effectively across functional and geographic boundaries
  • Manufacturing Experience in Electric & Hybrid Systems Preferred
  • Experience in high volume Manufacturing.
