About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Design and Estimating Manager to support business development, design coordination, and cost estimating for large-scale, technically complex projects across data centres, logistics, and industrial facilities. Based in Milan, you will play a critical role in bridging client requirements, technical design, and commercial performance while ensuring project success from the earliest stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Support business development by qualifying leads, assessing opportunities, and contributing to Go/No-Go decisions.
- Lead cost estimating for projects, ensuring estimates align with bid schedules and deliverables.
- Manage external design and engineering firms while coordinating with internal support functions.
- Translate client specifications into optimized, cost-effective designs during the definition phase.
- Ensure technical design quality, accuracy of descriptions, and complete project documentation.
- Contribute to contract reviews and purchase/sale agreements with business development teams.
- Provide technical input during subcontractor tendering and support project teams with budget management during construction.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in the construction industry with strong design and estimating exposure.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail and rigor in technical design.
- Fluent in Italian and English.
- Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally abroad, depending on project needs.
