About the Role
An exciting opportunity to join a global Independent Power Producer (IPP) focused on accelerating the clean energy transition. As Procurement Manager – BESS, you will lead sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and contract management for Battery Energy Storage Systems across a growing European portfolio. This role combines commercial leadership with supply chain expertise, offering the chance to shape procurement in one of the most dynamic sectors in renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for BESS projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead tendering, supplier selection, and contract negotiations for equipment and services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with EPCs, OEMs, and technology providers.
- Collaborate with engineering, legal, and project delivery teams to align technical and commercial requirements.
- Monitor global supply chain risks, market dynamics, and cost trends in the energy storage sector.
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, industry standards, and ESG commitments.
- Drive continuous process improvements, focusing on supplier performance and cost optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- 5–7 years of procurement experience, ideally in renewable energy, energy storage, or infrastructure projects.
- Proven expertise in contract management, supplier negotiations, and international sourcing.
- Knowledge of BESS technologies, supply chain players, and procurement challenges.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English; French proficiency is highly advantageous.
