About the Role
My client is an international manufacturing company active in aerospace, automotive, and marine industries. Their core strength lies in the aerospace sector, where we specialize in precision machining, surface treatment, and aluminium assemblies for complex aircraft structures.
As a Production Planner, you will play a key role in translating engineering drawings into executable production plans. You will work closely with machining, painting, and assembly teams to define processes, set-up times, and ensure efficient workflows. This position requires daily on-site presence in production to align with colleagues, while some planning tasks can be performed from home.
Key Responsibilities
- · Develop and maintain detailed production plans from drawing to finished product
- · Define routings, time models, and setup times for aluminium components and assemblies
- · Coordinate closely with shop floor teams in machining, painting, and assembly
- · Ensure ERP (ProAlpha) accuracy and timely production execution
- · Collaborate with Quality Assurance to secure compliance with aerospace standards
- · Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
Qualifications
- · 5+ years of experience in production planning (aerospace or precision manufacturing preferred)
- · Strong technical background in aluminium processes (forming, bending, drilling, assembly)
- · Proficiency with ERP systems (ProAlpha experience is a plus)
- · Skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings
- · Hands-on, proactive, and communicative – daily shop floor presence is essential
