Commissioning Manager (Data Centers)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to oversee all aspects of commissioning on large-scale data center development projects. This role will ensure that design, procurement, governance, delivery, and handover processes are executed to the highest safety and quality standards, achieving defect-free outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of commissioning packages, from contractor design and procurement to governance, mobilisation, delivery, and final handover.
  • Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with company and industry safety standards, with the objective of zero accidents.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Leads to align commissioning activities with broader project goals.
  • Act as the central point of contact between contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure accountability and transparency.
  • Oversee the commercial aspects of commissioning to ensure on-time, budget-compliant, and high-quality delivery.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commissioning or project management within data center development (general contractor or developer background preferred).
  • Proven track record of on-time and within-budget project delivery, with strong safety, sustainability, and quality performance.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant Safety for Managers certification (or equivalent).
