About the Role
Senior Asset Manager – Wind & PV (m/f/d)
We are seeking an experienced and performance-driven Senior Asset Manager to oversee a portfolio of operational wind and solar PV assets across Spain. In this role, you will ensure technical excellence, financial transparency, and stakeholder satisfaction throughout the lifecycle of renewable energy assets. This is a remote opportunity based out of Madrid, ideal for a candidate who thrives in both technical and commercial project environments.
Key Responsibilities
Asset Portfolio Management
- Oversee the day-to-day management of wind and solar PV assets.
- Ensure assets meet operational, revenue, and availability targets.
Operational Performance & Optimization
- Monitor asset performance via SCADA and analytics tools.
- Identify and address inefficiencies to improve energy yield.
Financial Oversight
- Develop and manage budgets, cash flow models, and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with financial covenants and accurate reporting.
Stakeholder Relations
- Act as the main point of contact for investors, lenders, utilities, O&M partners, and landowners.
- Maintain regular and transparent communication with all stakeholders.
Contract Management & Compliance
- Administer and monitor key contracts (PPAs, O&M, EPC, land leases).
- Ensure full compliance with legal, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Reporting & Documentation
- Generate internal and external reports on performance, risk, and financial status.
- Support audits and contribute to board-level presentations.
Performance Improvement Initiatives
- Lead initiatives such as repowering, technology upgrades, and cost-efficiency programs.
- Collaborate with technical teams to drive asset value improvements.
HSE Coordination
- Support HSE compliance and help promote a strong safety culture.
- Coordinate with internal teams and contractors on safety initiatives.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in renewable energy asset management, particularly in wind and/or solar PV.
- Strong technical understanding of SCADA platforms and asset performance metrics.
- Proven experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and stakeholder management.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, contract structures, and compliance in Spain.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Proactive, analytical, and solutions-oriented with strong organizational skills.
