We are hiring an experienced Proposal Manager to lead the creation, coordination, and submission of high-value technical-commercial proposals in the energy transition and decarbonization space. You’ll serve as the technical anchor in cross-functional sales processes-ensuring bids are accurate, timely, competitive, and aligned with evolving market needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze customer specifications and requirements to define scope and structure.
- Lead proposal preparation in collaboration with sales, engineering, sourcing, and external partners.
- Validate technical solutions and cost estimations, ensuring feasibility and competitiveness.
- Present proposals to clients, capture feedback, and incorporate refinements.
- Support commercial and contractual negotiations alongside sales leadership.
- Coordinate seamless project handovers to operational and delivery teams.
- Capture lessons learned from current projects and past bids to improve future offerings.
- Ensure full compliance with internal processes, safety protocols, and confidentiality requirements.
- Contribute to internal reporting, pipeline visibility, and strategic bid planning.
Required Skills
- Fluent in German is a must – English & French is a plus.
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Electrochemical, etc.); a business degree is a plus.
- 5+ years’ experience in technical-commercial roles such as Project Manager, Proposal Manager, Product Manager, or Construction Manager.
- Strong technical foundation across manufacturing, process engineering, thermodynamics, or electrical systems.
- Familiarity with EPC, public procurement, and consortium-led projects is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office / Google Suite; experience with Microsoft Project or VBA is a plus.
- Experience in decarbonization, energy transition, or sustainability-focused technologies preferred
