About the Role
A leading automotive manufacturer is seeking a Director of Engineering and Program Management to oversee design, manufacturing, and quality operations across multiple product lines. You will lead cross-functional teams, drive product development, and ensure excellence in engineering execution and program delivery from concept to production.
Responsibilities
- Lead and structure engineering and program management teams
- Define and execute product development strategies
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (APQP, PPAP, IATF 16949)
- Oversee program delivery on timelines, budgets, and quality goals
- Drive innovation, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration
- Align engineering with manufacturing, quality, sales, and supply chain
- Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Manufacturing Engineering
- 10+ years in engineering leadership within automotive parts manufacturing
- Proven success in launching automotive components and managing programs
- Expertise in design, materials, manufacturing, and quality systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional management skills
- Experience working with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers
- Proficiency in project and resource management tools
