Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Satellite System Engineer to join our team in Los Angeles, California. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of innovative satellite systems, ensuring top-tier performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimise satellite architectures for commercial and government customers.
- Perform detailed system analysis, including link budget calculations and coverage assessments.
- Collaborate with payload, platform, and ground segment teams to achieve seamless integration.
- Conduct testing and validation to ensure satellite system readiness for deployment.
- Provide technical support during satellite launches and in-orbit operations.
- Document design decisions and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering; a Master’s is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in satellite systems design and integration.
- Strong knowledge of satellite communications, payloads, and ground systems.
- Skilled in simulation and analysis tools like MATLAB, Python, and STK.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel and support mission-critical activities.
